Coaching for Wealth Inheritors

The Great Wealth Transfer has a Human Capital problem.

“This [work] addresses the part of me that I hide from most people. I do not feel like most people in my life understand all parts of me. My friends understand the working/friend side of me but don't understand the complicated family situation. My family gets the complicated situation, but they don't get the other part of me. This program and the community hours are one of the only places I feel 100% connection and authenticity.”

With a projected $84 trillion expected to change hands from parents and grandparents to younger generations over the next 20 years, it’s imperative that the rising generation of inheritors stewards wealth in meaningful ways.

And if this is going to happen, every member of a family system needs to be thriving.

This is the human capital element of wealth advisory that the financial services industry hasn’t had to consider in the past.

But we do now,

Because the people on the receiving end of this staggering amount of wealth aren’t yet equipped for the responsibility and opportunity that accompanies it.

Because beneficiaries of the Great Wealth Transfer won’t necessarily leave their wealth in the hands of their parents’ trusted advisors, because of their focus on values-led lifestyles.

The current industry solution serves technical, financial and legal advice.

No one is looking at the humans involved in this transfer and helping them step into leadership, impact, or even managing for the emotional and social implications that accompany wealth transfer.

"Wellth Works has acted as both an incubation chamber and launching pad for me. In no business, academic, coaching, or therapeutic context have I ever grown so swiftly."

The Ascend Program

Our year-long coaching engagement for wealth inheritors.

We know what it is like to have to fight for a voice, for a seat at the table, in your own family.

Hi, we're Michelle + Ella

We started Wellth Works in 2017 after 2 years of global development, and bonding over our successful corporate careers and our different–but similar– family business backgrounds. We both wear two hats: multi-generational family business members (Michelle is G2 and Ella is G7) and successful female executives (outside their family industries). We work with those who are navigating the complexities of inheritance, wealth transfer, and being a leader in their family business and family office.

Before founding Wellth Works, Michelle advised world leaders on economic policy at the World Bank and Treasury Department. She dined in the homes of foreign heads of state, and represented the U.S at negotiation tables throughout the world.

Ella spent a decade in technology sales consulting Fortune 200 companies and private enterprises on disaster recovery and business continuity strategy via emerging technology platforms (think about the “cloud” before it was commonplace). In her tenure she closed over $1 Billion in sales.
