Our 2022 Year in Review — Plus, What’s Next on the Wellth Works Journey

As is a The annual ritual for Wellth Works (see 2021 and 2020 for the past few), Michelle and I recently reflected together on 2022. We consider you an extension of us, and are full of gratitude to be able to share our discoveries in the last year with our beloved community.

How was our 2022?

Fulfilling. Transformative. Connective. Ambitious.

In our personal lives — we each moved (again). Michelle, herself a G2, had her first baby welcoming a new generation into her family, took maternity leave, and is now navigating the world of parenting and childcare (words of wisdom welcome). Simultaneously Ella, a G7 family member, took the next step in her stewardship journey being voted onto the Board of Directors for her family’s shareholder company.

In our professional lives — we worked with over 25 clients/families. We spoke at 40 events including private advisor roundtables, industry conferences, and Family Office functions. We formalized a monthly community hour for family members in the rising generation. We moved our signature year-long leadership program to a new tech platform, and rebranded it Ascend

On top of this, we invested resources in growing our internal team as well as into our own learning and development as founders/entrepreneurs and family members ourselves. Through work with our coaches, mentors, and thought leaders in our community (we are humbled and grateful for your counsel!), we were able to glean deeper insights for Wellth Works’ vision and create a road map towards the future we believe this field needs.

Here are a few of the discoveries we made and pivots we initiated —

  • Our programs now welcome all genders, not just women. We found that our offerings were relevant and transformative for all wealth inheritors, not just female identifying ones. With this shift, we’re able to help even more family leaders achieve fulfillment and confidence related to generational wealth.
  • We’re putting community at the forefront of what we do. We’ve always been big on connection, but our monthly community hour reminded us how fulfilling an authentic network can be. As a result, we’ve launched a Whatsapp group for the rising generation, and decided to host our next Worldwide Women’s Council retreat in person.
  • We’re focusing more on rising family leaders and wealth inheritors through our Ascend Program. This year-long coaching experience helps wealth inheritors find their voice, define their path, and take the lead. By working 1×1 with our coaches, participants uncover the ability to flourish in all aspects of life, and learn to navigate with integrity and stewardship without losing their autonomy.

We know that our work with wealth inheritors is where we add the most value, so you can expect to see our content focusing on rising family leaders and inheritors of generational wealth as we move into the new year.

What hasn’t changed is our enthusiasm for empowering this community, our gratitude for its support, and our passion for what we do.

We understand as “Michelle and Ella” we’re the face of this company, but we have a team behind us that has been extremely instrumental in getting Wellth Works to where we are. We’d like to thank them as well. We’re so grateful for the work and support they provide and are so energized to see what 2023 brings.
